"A week after the Sao Paulo Fashion Week is over and I rolled to write this post. Shame! I apologize, but the fact is that nothing new was shown and wills are summarized those brands that I like to follow each other.
I will not speak ill of anyone, but the Brazilian fashion must take shame in the face and turn professional. The only ones that draw attention are the least professionalized. Do we have a knack for fashion atelier??
Is it? Is it? I leave the question here...
I really liked Andre Lima, who was brave and made a collection with heavy fabrics ... Very different from their usual patterns ... I also enjoyed Lino Villaventura, master of pleats, the moulage, art, fashion drama ... And Samuel Cirnansck, and their beautiful dresses...
Other than that, I think much at all. With the exception of Osklen, who did an ok show, but without the freshness and energy of summer...
In times of economic crisis in the old world, the Brazilian fashion seems to be a crisis of creativity! Bring on the summer... (Translation by Google)"

A pressão é maior?

"Since the last edition, I am signing the fashion spreads of Textile Magazine, one of the oldest publications in the sector in Brazil, with more than 80 years of history.
In this issue (November / December): Senac Fashion Information + Minas Trend Preview + Floral's prints from the Summer 2012 + a section of very nice little notes with Ponto Zero (challenge of new designers +  Fashion Five - Riachuelo) ... Here's the online version of the magazine. Fashions from page 46.
Below is an interview I did with the designer Samuel Cirnansck about his participation in the fashion week Minas Trend.
The atelier goes to the runaway
Known for his strong fashion atelier and his incredible wedding dresses, Cirnansck Samuel, who presents his collections in São Paulo Fashion Week, led to the Minas Trend Preview a commercial collection inspired by the very strong post-war women, 1940 and 1920. Textil Magazine spoke with the designer:
Textil Magazine: Why participate in the Minas Trend?
Samuel Cirnansck: It is the space where I found the possibility of exploring a more commercial bias of my brand.
RT: Knowing that fashion party is strong in Minas, the collection was developed with this look at the presentation at the event?
Samuel: Fashion Fiesta is the strongest segment of my brand. In fact for the Minas Trend I always try to make a line of ready-to-wear more urban.
RT: With a lot of studio work, which is the biggest challenge in developing a collection prêt-à-porter?
Samuel: The biggest challenge in developing a line ready-to-wear is to transpose all the craftsmanship, quality materials and production that have the "Tailor Made" to a cheaper product, produced in series.
RT: Many of the looks presented on the catwalk were made with accessories. The Minas Trend is very strong on that front. It is a new venture?
Samuel: There are some stations have been developing jewelry and shoes in partnership with Pactolus Jewelry (www.pactolo.com.br) and Jorge Bischoff (www.jorgebischoff.com.br).
RT: How is a stylist for national display their creations in a regional event? The pressure is greatest?
Samuel: Actually with the avent of the Internet and the globalized world in which we live, these barriers are much more diluted. Anywhere in the world has access to any show, so the pressure is always the same.
RT: You have used digital printing in the collection. How was it developed? You have used this very technique?
Samuel: One of our partners is the Digitex, a benchmark company when it comes to digital printing. I've always had very strong design in my work. The prints are some of Minas Trend my watercolors that have been scanned and printed on silk. (Translation by Google)"

SPFW SS 2012 – A little bit of everything

"Cloning the title of the exhibition of the brilliant photographers Inez & Vinoodh I open this post will be pretty much it. The last few weeks have been chaotic and maintain a blog, and frilas steady job is not easy.
I'm glad that there are numerous sites for fashion, so you can follow dust there and just move here from time to time to see what I found / thought of the little things of the fashion world. I think the editorial line of this blog is well out there. With an emphasis on the boys, they go short of good information, right?
Returning to São Paulo Fashion Week, which ended on Saturday, April 18, presenting exciting Ronaldo Fraga (again him) and a super cool party at The Society, it's one thing to say, the brands need to focus on business.
I think we have passed the point of view fabulous costumes on the catwalk that will never be sold, even upon request. One or two brands do all that well, but most can not.
Lack brands in one direction, toward a point which takes into account the commercial side, they think of pieces that can go on the catwalk with a more conceptual look, but they can take to the streets. Does anyone ever wondered why both Largerfeld repeats casaqueto Chanel tweed classic presentations of the brand. Or why Miuccia uses the same modeling countless times in the same parade.
Much has been made good, a lot of bad too. But the key for the Sao Paulo Fashion Week show grows and is focusing on business. Brazil needs to stop being known as the land of models and going to be remembered as the big brands.
Among my favorite shows are:
Pedro Lourenço - understand what is Brazil and uses the reference intelligently with a super commercial vein. Perhaps there arises our first big international name.
Osklen - despite losing a little in the proportions, I will not know or length silhouette was suggested by the brand (this story to stay on top of the wall is not about anything), has a beautiful collection with such a national reference. I love natural fabrics and weaves.
Samuel Cirnansck - parade honest without fear of being defined as a stylist studio, which most breeders is Brazilian. Transparency is always the recipe for success!
Alexandre Herchcovitch male - though not enjoying the modeling when the clothes arrive in the store (do not wear well), good ideas. Parade beautiful to be seen.
Reserva - a reference to Che as a clown was a bit much, but the parade, which gets lost trying to please everyone has many parts desires ... That kind of collection that almost anything could come pro your wardrobe out of runway. (Translated by Google)"
