Natal + Claridge's + Lanvin

Bom, primeiro, Feliz Natal a todos!!!

Queria ter feito esse post antes, mas esse vídeo acabou sendo para mim mais especial do que imaginava e queria dividir com vocês e com uma explicação descente, para poderem me conhecer um pouco melhor e de onde vem minha paixão por moda.

Em 2003 me mudei para Londres. Recém-formado em jornalismo pela Unesp, fui morar na terra da rainha. Lá, cai de pára-quedas no gigante e glamuroso, para não dizer sofisticado, hotel Claridge’s.

Para quem não sabe, o Claridge’s fica em Mayfair, um dos bairros mais chiques de Londres, uma espécie de Jardins aqui em São Paulo, e é conhecido como uma extensão do Palácio de Buckham, devido ao uso frequente de suas instalações pela família real e pelas cortes européias. Fundado em 1812, mantém a tradição renovada com modernidade. Seu estilo art-decor é singular e lindo. BTW, quem tiver pela capital inglesa vale uma parada para o chá das cinco...

Também nele fica o Gordon Ramsey at Claridge’s, o restaurante mais descolado da cidade, uma espécie de Spot. Se você quer ser visto e fotografado, dá uma passadinha lá – Kate Moss e os Beckhams sempre usam esse artifício.

Passei dois anos e meio trabalhando no departamento de Private Events desse hotel, no qual as festas mais baladas da cidade são realizadas. Vi premiers de filmes, casamentos estrelados, desfiles de moda, liquidação com hora marcada e com convite individual, negócios bilionários sendo fechados...

 Um dos momentos mais marcantes para mim foi um jantar realizado para homenagear Vivianne Westwood. Perfeito, lindo! Ela feliz... E o casamento do baixista do Coldplay Guy Berryman, com todas as celebridades mais queridas reunidas, como a linda Gwyneth Paltrow.

Além das inúmeras histórias contadas pelos antigos funcionários sobre Lady Di. Um mito vivo e amada por todos.

Para chegar no hotel eu passava pela Old Bond Street, a rua que reúne as marcas internacionais... Meu caminho começa na loja de Alexander McQueen e terminava na Versace, na qual eu cortava o caminho para chegar no hotel.

Fora essa vivência de editoriais vivos nas vitrines das lojas, alguns desfiles da fashion week britânica eram realizados no Claridge’s, fora editorias de moda e pré-venda. A vivencia nesse universo me fez me apaixonar por moda e querer fazer parte disso.

Tenho muito carinho por esse hotel. Quando vi o vídeo da Lanvin fiquei emocionado porque ele traz todo o espírito do que é esse hotel, da sua essência. Um luxo discreto, uma sofisticação na medida, que não vive de modismos...

Claridge’s, assim como Lanvin, é uma aula de estilo!!! Love eterno...

Concordo plenamente com a afirmação final de André “chique é ser inteligente”. E inteligência é o que não falta nas “Lady Gagas” da vida real listadas por Glória, que, muito mais que Lady Gaga, que adoro e admiro, foram/são figuras muito importantes para o mundo da moda. Conheça-as:

Isabella comprou toda a coleção feita por McQueen para sua graduação na universidade de moda e usou todos os looks, lançando o estilista no mercado (como não tinha dinheiro suficiente, fez um acordo com ele e pagava um por mês).

Bjork - cantora, compositora, atriz e produtora musical islandesa, cujo trabalho inclui três álbuns como vocalista da banda de rock alternativo The Sugarcubes, sete álbuns solo, e duas trilhas sonoras de filmes.
